Chimaeron Tactics Basics

The Chimaeron tactics are fairly simple, as this is actually somewhat a gimmick fight.

Chimaeron has a few abilities that will one shot everyone they hit. However, you have a friendly add (called Finkle) that putts a buff on the whole raid preventing death from anything, as long as you had more then 10K health when you got hit, leaving you with 1 HP instead of dying.

So the main Chimaeron tactics will be for you healers to adjust to quickly raising injured players with 1 HP to more then 10K.

Once you get this sorted you will need to pay attention to some abilities when the friendly add is disabled, and you're all set.

You will need 2 or 3 tanks to rotate tanking him because of the debufs he puts on them.

Chimaeron main abilities

• Caustic Slime
  
  

  Massive AOE that is split between all players in a 6 yard radius. About 280K damage.

• Massacre
  
  

  Massive damage raid wide that one shots everything.

• Feud
  
  

  The heads of Chimaeron start attacking each other, so he can't melee.

• Double Attack
  
  

  Chimaeron attacks with two heads as once for a double strike attack.

• Break
  
  

  Stacking debuff increasing the damage Chimaeron does to the target by 25%.

Chimaeron Tactics step by step

  Start the encounter by talking to Finkle, he will activate the Bile-o-Tron. While it is active the overwhelming attacks of Chimaeron can not kill you.

  When the debuff on tank stacks twice switch tank. You can wait for 3 stacks if you feel you can handle it.

• Chimaeron tactics step 3
  
  

  Healers should quickly raise any player reaching 1 HP up above 10K health, or the next damage to that person WILL kill him.

  Players should pay attention to their own health, if a heal isn't landing fast, use emergency heal (potion or other) to help healers out. This is especially true after massacre where the whole raid will suddenly drop to 1 HP.

  Healers be prepared for spike damage on the tank because of double attacks.

  When Bile-o-Tron goes off, Chimaeron will stats feuding and the main ability you should be aware of is the slime AOE attack. Because Bile-o-Tron will temporarily not work, you need to gather your raid in a group before slime hits so the damage is split.

  Bile-o-Tron will get back online, so you can continue the fight as usual.

  At 20% health Chimaeron will put a debuff on the whole raid reducing healing by 99%. He will also take 20% more damage and ignore any taunt. So, all you can do now is have all healers switch to DPS and pop every possible DPS Cooldown you have to finish him off before he wipes the whole raid.
