Bastion of Twilight

Dungeon description

Bastion of Twilight is a new entry-level raid instance that will come with World of Warcraft: Cataclysm. It will feature five bosses plus one optional heroic boss.

The Bastion of Twilight, along with Throne of the Four Winds and Blackwing Descent, is meant to be the "Naxxramas" of Cataclysm: an entry level raiding.

The instance entrance is located on top of the Twilight Citadel spire at [34, 78] in southwestern Twilight Highlands overlooking Loch Modan.

Encounters

Several of the encounters have be announced so far; they are:

  • Halfus Wyrmbreaker
  • Valiona and Theralion, known as the "Double Dragon encounter", an encounter that requires "dual-strafing".
  • Council like encounter called the Twilight Ascendant Council – Twilight's Hammer cultists ascended into elementals.
  • Cho'gall – final boss.
  • Optional Algalon-style "ultra hard mode" encounter: Sinestra

Upon defeating Cho'gall on heroic mode, the floor beneath players will collapse and they will fall into a cavern of flowing lava and "a very large number of black [sic] dragon eggs" that hides a "horrifying secret".

Prerequisites

Bastion of Twilight instance has no prerequisites.

Advised level

The advised level for Bastion of Twilight instance is 85+.

Player limit

The player limit for Grim Batol instance is 10/25.
